  hello everyone, i know that many here like me have read ray's book crisis of consience, i was very impressed with it, it helped open my eyes to the hypocrisy and double standards of the wts, and ray gave me the impresion of being a very loving and kind man, not the demonized apostate we were all lead to believe.

  but, i noticed something that wasn't quite correct when i was reading the part that spoke of then brother rene vazquez, he makes it seem like all rene did was have private conversations with ray and nothing else, this is not true, i for a fact know that this was not all that happened.

  in a ms meeting on tuesday back in 1980, rene was conducting a part and he went up to the stage with only his bible, he started saying that all we needed was the bible, that we would no longer be using other publications by the wts .

  THAT part is not a quote... but the jist of what he was trying to tell me. he noticeably beat around the bush about it, but he quoted john 17 or something about jesus and his followers (although i have a feeling it's not in John but he sounded a little nervous) being no part of the world etc... so christians would not want to go this route etc...

  Why didn't you ask why did you join the UN then?

  funny you should ask that... that was my next question. he said that the Organisation did not go against their neutrality by joining the UN's "library" because as soon as they changed the stipulation for being an NGO to something that the watchtower couldn't conscienably (i don't think that's how you say or spell that word) agree to, they disassociated themselves. i said, "oh so the UN changed their requirements for being an NGO in 2001?" he said, "well i don't know what year it was, but when they changed it, we left."

  i wouldn't be surprised if there was a difference at least sometimes... because of the fact that the kingdom ministry is directed towards the country you live in... but then again, there are many people on www.jwmatch.com from many different parts of the world, so how would they all know what the US's kingdom ministry songs are???
